Here is another pair of tintypes in very good condition and with interesting frames. I assume the uniform is a civil war uniform for the north. I'm not sure if this is the same man on both sides of the tintype. It looks like it might be the same man separated by enough time to grow a beard. (Or perhaps it is a pair of brothers.) The frame is fascinating with the eagle, US flags, cannon, and inscription E Pluribus Unum.
I looked at the "military members / expanded Granger families" area of the Granger website and I didn't see much on Civil War Grangers, but I'm wondering if this could be one (or two). I'll look for ways to track down more info. Maybe some detail of the uniform could be used to help track down a location for enlistment.
